Michael and Sue Fink, outside La Grange, bed and breakfast holiday in France

Holiday in Vendee, France

Bed and Breakfast in Vouvant, a 'beau villages de France'

Sue and Michael Fink, who owned the renowned Western Isles Hotel, Tobermory in its heyday between late 80’s and 2002 and Ptarmigan House a Five Star Bed and Breakfast, again in Tobermory have moved to France and have started again!

Whether you are looking for a short or long stay, holiday, business or house-hunting in the Vendee area, Sue and Michael will give you a warm welcome at La Grange.

La Grange is an old barn, which has been thoughtfully converted and is situated in a peaceful position on the edge of the popular mediaeval village of Vouvant. Vouvant, with its postern gate and cobbled streets is known as one of the prettiest villages in France, where artists flock to paint.

Soak up the atmosphere, walk along the river bank, explore the village, admire the 11th Century church of Eglise Notre Dame with its richly sculpted decoration on the north front and learn about Vouvant’s most famous folklore – the fairy Melusine, a legendary creature sentenced by a curse to become half-serpent each Saturday.
