Cross channel ferry, plane or train
Access to the Vendée is easy whether you travel by car, plane, or train.
Frequent car ferries from Rosslare, Weymouth, Poole and Portsmouth to St Malo, Caen, Roscoff and Cherbourg. St Malo is only 3 hours drive away. Alternatively the fast Dover to Calais ferries get you to france for a leisurely autoroute drive to find us.
By air there are several option as there are 3 international airports about an hour away:
- Nantes – Ryanair from Stansted, East Midlands, Dublin and Shannon, BA from Gatwick, Aer AerArann from Bristol, Cork and Cardiff
- La Rochelle – Ryanair from Stansted, and Dublin Easyjet from Bristol and Gatwick; Flybe from Birmingham, Manchester and Southampton; Easyjet fly from La Rochelle to Bristol and Gatwick
- Poitiers – Ryanair from Stansted
The TGV from Lille (served by Eurostar from Londin) and Paris comes to Niort, Poitiers, La Rochelle and Nantes

Detailed directions from Vouvant
On approaching Vouvant, you will see the Cemetery on the left and then a sign on the right “Bruno Ripaud Equitation” turn immediately sharp left – you will see a sign saying Faite La Grange – you are 2 minutes away from us. Pass the Sapeur Pompiers and the wall of the Cemetery on your left, the road goes down and at the bottom instead of following the road you branch off to the left. About 10 yards up that road (which only leads to two houses) you take the first right turn (pale gravel) this is La Grange
